Tomorrow is another day…Tribute to mom

I don’t want to remember when COVID intruded on her life;

Tomorrow is another day…

I don’t want to remember that her last breaths of life were taken by pneumonia;

Tomorrow is another day…

I don’t want to remember that I was nearly 800 miles away and never got to say goodbye;

Tomorrow is another day…

I also think of my Mom as we now have to endure a laborious new judicial option- a sentence reduction hearing for the murderer! 

This is so unjust. ‘So unfair to surviving families! 

Tomorrow is another day…

I remember her heartbreak and personal devastation 

We are still awaiting the outcome…

Tomorrow is another day…

Although grief lingers, I try to focus on the positive… and the legacy

I wanted to create;

Tomorrow is another day…

And so I have… One of my current projects involves the creation of an engaging video about the Patricia V. Gore Memorial Fund, her personally   and how the fund impacts the lives of those living in long term care settings. We are also working diligently on a new way to provide donations - 2026 style! Stay tuned! ‘So exciting!

My ‘essential caregiver’ Mom was proudly spoken about recently in a new legacy video series  for all members of the Village on Morehead;

I think of her and look at her photo on my desk everyday! 

But… I still tear up, as I did this week, viewing the Mother’s Day cards on the racks. I tried to push my carriage quickly past them. 

‘Missing her… It still hurts!
