Featured Special Guest: Donna R. Gore, “LadyJustice”

How to describe “Lady Justice?”  A survivor who has faced unasked for circumstances all of her life, Donna Gore could be a bitter, resentful person, but that’s exactly the opposite of who she is today.  Born with disabilities requiring over 55 surgeries, losing her beloved father to a senseless murder, and discovering her true orientation as a gay woman in her mid thirties at a time when it wasn’t popular, have all been hurdles Donna Gore has faced and overcome.

An expert on taking the negatives life threw her way and developing positive approaches has served well to Donna’s mission to assist victims of crime.  Those positive approaches include her involvement in associations like Survivors of Homicide and NOVA where she facilitated support groups and volunteered her time supporting and escorting victims to court hearings, as well as aiding in fundraising, sponsoring programs and coordinating events.

Listeners will learn about the mission of “LadyJustice,” her work in the Imperial Valley aiding in programs to help teens, to her present position working with the blind in the state of Connecticut.  As her persona suggests, Donna revels in helping others seeking her assistance within the justice system. Donna is well educated and has used her degrees in the areas of communication disorders, or speech-language pathology, for over 20 years focusing working primarily in hospitals, nursing homes and with the severely developmentally disabled.

She has honed her lifelong interest in  writing  in the professional and personal/creative  arenas. As seen by posts on her website (www.donnagore.com) Donna’s research about topics is impeccable, she is tenacious, and yet, she has wit and humor, loves good movies and crime television shows.  Always informative and often entertaining, her site is one to visit often!
